Privacy policy

Account and Google sign-in

Google provides your account identifier, name and verified email. Oasis uses them to identify you, create an account with your agreement or sign you into a linked account. We request only openid, email and profile. We never receive your Google password or request Gmail, Drive, contacts or calendar access. Google access/refresh tokens and your Google photograph are not saved in your Oasis account.

Before registration is completed, identity details are held temporarily in the server session; the prepared registration is valid for 15 minutes. Your account stores name, email, Google identifier and the time and version of the community rules you accepted. Linking an existing account requires an explicit action after sign-in.

Profile and optional choices

New Google profiles are private. You can edit your profile and choose available visibility options. Information you deliberately make public can be viewed by visitors and indexed by search engines. Your login email is not automatically published as a contact. Project interest, contact permission and subscriptions are separate optional choices; Google registration does not enable them.

Cookies and service providers

Session and security cookies support sign-in and protect forms. Servers process technical request data, including IP addresses, times and browser information, for operation and security. Public pages use Google Analytics for usage statistics; Google registration completion pages do not load analytics. External fonts and interface providers receive the technical information needed to deliver assets. Google describes its processing in its privacy policy.

Authorised administrators access account data to operate the service, provide support and review abuse reports. Hosting and email providers process data needed for those functions. Google data received for sign-in is not sold, used for personalised advertising or shared with other participants. Disclosure may be required by applicable legal obligations.

Your requests and deletion

You can edit profile information and visibility and withdraw optional subscriptions in your account. Request access, correction or account deletion by writing from your account email. We may need to verify ownership. Data is retained while the account is in use; deletion requests are reviewed with any necessary security or legal retention. The organiser handles deletion; there is no automatic self-service deletion button. Revoking Oasis access in your Google account does not itself delete your Oasis account.
